Tilman Hübner

was born in Hamburg in 1960. From 1982 to 1989, at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik, Hamburg, he studied the guitar with Klaus Hempel, and jazz arrangement with Dieter Glawischnig. In 1988 he won a scholarship for the summer academy Albi in France, where he studied with Roberto Aussel, who decisively determined his artistic development. His own compositions are to be regarded as being closely connected with his own biography: the pieces are dedicated to his daughter (Espérance d' Eté),
his son, his wife, his uncle "Büdi", and a friend. Stylistically,
these pieces follow the classical-romantic tradition.
