who went through his main creative power in Graz (Austria), never had
to live from his compositions. He has been working fultime as a teacher
and as head of the department 'classical music' in the Austrian Radio.
His output as a composer includes 60 songs, chambermusic, works for piano,
orchestral compositions, cantatas, choirmusic, radio-dramas, arrangements
of folk-songs and film music. His works with guitar all have a relationship
to folk-songs.

Here Uray uses material from different cultures, to condense them to a
pleasing musical miniature. He always remains traditional in a positive
way. The music is of a vividness that makes this set of mental journey
an enrichness of the chamber-music repertoir with the guitar. |
