Pieter van der Staak

born 25. of Mai 1930 can be considered as the 'Grey Eminenz' of composing music for early ensemble-teaching. He studied guitar under Andrés Segovia and Alirio Diaz, vihuela and ancient music notations with Emilio Pujol. For many years he was seniour teacher for guitar at the Municipal Conservatory of Music in Zwolle, Holland, educating a generation of guitarists and teachers. His compositions for guitar tuition got him international recognition and are in use all over the world; thus he was also discovered as a composer of works that now can be found on many concert programmes.
